Animal Flow Intro Experience

Go with the Flow! Learn to Enhance your Mobility and Strength. Join us for a 60-minute introductory experience.

Animal Flow® is a ground-based movement, made fun, challenging, and effective. This system is designed to improve strength, power, flexibility, mobility, and coordination for all levels of fitness enthusiasts. Animal Flow is a hybrid that takes in gymnastics, parkour, capoeira, and even breakdancing.

Comprised of six different components or categories of movements including Wrist Mobilizations, Activations, Traveling Forms, Form Specific Stretches, Switches, and Transitions, and Flow.

Price: $20 per class

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
HamssahBadrah enjoys guiding individuals on their own movement adventures. A former youth gymnast, Hamssah is an accomplished weight lifter and fitness educator. She holds several fitness certifications including Animal Flow® Level 1, Jiu Jitsu, and PADI Open Water Diver. She is also an ISSA Personal Trainer. Her philosophy is to discover, learn, and share life-changing movement practices. She will help you stay FIT for a better quality of LIFE.

Strengthen and sculpt your entire body – legs, arms, back, and core through ballet-inspired moves. Build postural balance, flexibility, strength, coordination, and grace during this 60-minute, full-body workout.

By using small, controlled movements, isometric holds, and high repetition, you will strengthen and sculpt your entire body. In each energizing and targeted workout, you’ll use a variety of exercise equipment such as mini-balls, small hand weights, and bands. Expect lots of body-weight and low-impact moves including plies, pulses, and planks. Embrace the quiver during this fun and continuously moving workout. Appropriate for all ability levels.

What to wear: No shoes or socks necessary. Being barefoot is ideal so you can firmly grip the floor anytime you go up in relevé (say hello to mighty calves).

Steel Mace Foundations

Steel Mace Foundations is a full-body workout for any and all fitness levels. The Steel Mace (Gada or club) dates to the 13th century and was used by warriors to train and condition for battle. This modernized ancient practice creates dynamic core stability, coordination, endurance, and an elevated mental focus empowering confidence in all your life activities.

Each week, you’ll perform drills that incorporate the Steel Mace into strength and conditioning exercises like squats, lunges, rows, and presses to build strength, improve conditioning, and generate power. Learn basic movements for the next level class – Steel Mace Swing Skills.

Using suspension equipment that uses your own body weight and gravity, this class focuses on technique, transitions, and progressions. Develop core strength, improve balance, and gain strength and confidence during this full-body workout.
