April 7 – 27, 2019: Rows
The Row is a pull-type compound exercise that primarily works the muscles of your middle back (trapezius, rhomboids), your bigger back muscles (latissimus dorsi) and the muscles in your arms (biceps, deltoids).
This exercise is important to counteract the pushing movements of daily life. Rows are good exercise to help you safely pick items up from the floor – like your kids, pets, groceries or laundry.
Additionally, due to the use of screen devices, many people spend a lot of time in a head down (text neck), forward rounded posture. Rows also improve your shoulder strength, stability, and posture.
